Bipartisan Delegation Shows Solidarity With Palestinians

Canadian MPs Visit Jordan and the West Bank

Bipartisan Delegation Shows Solidarity with Palestinians

Five Canadian Members of Parliament (MPs)—two Liberals and three Conservatives—have arrived in Amman, Jordan, to visit the West Bank and meet with Palestinian officials.

The MPs are part of a larger delegation of around 60, which also includes representatives from the Canadian government and civil society organizations. The delegation's visit is meant to show solidarity with the Palestinian people and to support a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The MPs' visit comes at a time of heightened tensions in the region. In recent months, there have been a number of clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinian protesters in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The delegation's visit is seen as an important opportunity to show support for the Palestinian people and to encourage a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

The MPs are scheduled to meet with a number of Palestinian officials, including President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah. They will also visit a number of Palestinian refugee camps in the West Bank.

The delegation's visit is expected to last for several days. It is part of a larger effort by the Canadian government to support a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
